Pastor's Weekly Message - 6/5/11

June 5, 2011

I’m back! Did you miss me? Some are answering, didn’t know that you were gone. Well, I did take some R & R and I had a great time. Everybody needs some time off without the phone ringing every minute and the demands of life that call for your time and attention. Yes, Pastors need time off too. Thank for the time off. Thanks to preacher Grady who always comes through for us here at the Church. If he is in town he is always willing to come and fill in for us.

I didn’t share an article with you last week because of the R & R, but Jennifer Cox blessed our hearts with her testimony. She always has something to share and a great way of sharing it. I appreciate her and Anthony for all they do here at our Church.  I know that John and Kim and the Millers were beaming with joy as she shared her heart with us. It is refreshing to see young couples serve the Lord. There is a place for all to serve the Lord in the ministry. If you are not involved in the Church life, start today.

V.B.S. is a great place to begin. June 12th starts our Vacation Bible School. I am looking to a great week and I hope that you are too. We need workers and we will find a place for you to help. Courtney is our director this year and she would love to have you involved in this year’s V.B.S. A lot of people have started their ministry during the week of V.B.S.   Please invite you neighbors or bring them with you. Some kids only have this V.B.S. as their opportunity to hear of the love of God.  Many kids are saved during the week of V.B.S. and we are praying that this year we too will have several kids come to know Christ as their Savior.  It would be great if the child that you invited or brought to V.B.S. came to the Lord this week. Ask the ball teams that you child plays on to come.  Many parents are looking for a place this summer where their child can attend. We always have great food for them to eat and no child will leave without having plenty of food to eat.  Pam Hallford and her ladies always plan a great meal for the kids. One of the great things about out V.B.S. is our meals. Kids always tell us that we have the best there is and we do. It’s time to go to work so help us.

Pastor Tommy

P.S. Don’t forget to share your testimony in the upcoming weeks.
