We just celebrated 234 years as a Nation, one that I am proud to be a part of. Do I agree with all that is going on with our Nation? No! What I am proud of is the history that our Nation was built upon: Faith in God. Faith in God was the key to America becoming a powerful influence in this world. Yes, we are losing the powerful influence in this world because our Faith in God is not what it should be. This is where the Christian can and should make a difference. If we have been set free by the blood of Jesus Christ then we should give the glory to God daily for what he has done for us.
Just like you, I have been blessed by the testimonies that we have heard each week. It seems that each one has a certain theme or thought which speaks to the glory of God. Today we have a young mother sharing her testimony with us, April Crunkleton. April is the wife of Chris and the mother of Jayden and Jasmine. April is one of our Sunday school teachers, Wednesday night teachers, and serves on the Children Ministry Team committee, VBS, and many other jobs that arise. She is taking a group to White Water next Monday the 18th. They are doing a carwash Saturday the 16th and I hope you take your car to have it washed. The money will go toward the kids’ expenses. Please help them out by bringing your car, truck or anything that needs washing. No clothes please! April also is heading up the back-to-school supplies for families in our area. She is very active in ministry here. Why she does so much is because she loves the Lord and she love kids. We are blessed to have her and her ministry here at New Bethel Church.
We are in the summer time and there is so much going on around us but don’t leave God out in your busy schedules. Make sure you take the time to be with God because he wants to be with you. Amen
