Pastor's Weekly Message - 5/22/11

May 22, 2011

It just keeps on getting better and better! The testimonies are wonderful and powerful. Thanks to all of you who have shared from your heart. Brother Sammy did a great job last Sunday sharing about his salvation and his Saviour. He is Franklin County Chairman of the Board of Commissioners and is also our senior adult Sunday school teacher. It was powerful and uplifting. I enjoyed it. The early service was well attended and the Spirit of the Lord was moving.  These testimonies have been the encouragement that my heart needs. Today we have one of our ladies sharing her testimony, Jennifer Cox. Jennifer is co-teacher of the youth along with her husband, Anthony. She is the mother of T.J and Riley.  I know your heart will be blessed with her love for the Lord and her willingness to praise her Lord and Saviour. We are so blessed to have this family as part of our church family. Their labor of love can be seen in so many things they are involved in.

Pastor's Weekly Message - 5/15/11

May 15, 2011

What a great Mother’s Day service we had. Connie Harris’ testimonial about their son Joshua was wonderful in the fact of how God had blessed them with two wonderful sons. Her praise of the Lord and her worshipful attitude was encouraging. To hear her love and joy showed us what it was to be a mother. The greatest word other than our Lord’s name is mother. No sweeter word than that. My mother is special and as I listened to Connie it reminded me of the Love that my Mother has for me. I was rejoicing and thanking the Lord for my mom. I was able to go up and spend the day with my Mother on Tuesday. We went out to eat at one of her favorite spots and rode around through the area to see the storm damage.   There are areas where they are still working on removing debris and some of the traffic lights are still out.

Pastor's Weekly Message - 5/8/11

Happy Mother’s Day
May 8, 2011

We want to wish all of our Mothers a happy Mother’s Day. We will have something for all our Mothers to take home with them today: A rose, which speaks of love and there is nothing like a Mother’s love.  I will be calling my Mother and wishing her a happy Mother’s Day and telling her that I love her. By the time we are gathered here and reading this article, I have already called my Mother. I wish that I could be with her today, but that just didn’t work out. My Mother is my Hero in life. I owe so much to my mom.

Pastor's Weekly Message - 5/1/11

May 1, 2011

What a wonderful Easter Sunday! I enjoyed this Easter more than I have any other Easter in the past. It was spiritual, powerful and just beautiful. The sunrise service was great.  I would like to thank all those who helped set up everything (chairs, sound equipment and the keyboard). What a great crowd that we had too. There were several visitors who attended along with some people that we haven’t seen in a long time.  There is something about getting up early on Easter to worship knowing that He is Alive.

Pastor's Weekly Message 4/24/11

He Lives! He Lives! Jesus Christ Lives
April 24, 2011

Today we welcome you to our Easter Service celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord. We have already had a Sunrise Service at the crosses. If you were there, you felt the power of the Lord as we followed Him in the scriptures to the Cross and watched him die three days later and then come alive. He Lives. He Lives.  Today we share the message again. The children will share how they see the story of Easter and our choir will sing about how they see the resurrection, and I will preach concerning the Resurrection. This is the Sunday that we as Christians hold to and believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins.

Pastor's Weekly Message - 4/17/11

Are you enjoying the testimonies? I am getting a lot of positive comments. Brenda’s testimony was powerful plus informative to know at 12 years old she gave her heart to the Lord and today she is assured that she is saved. Thanks Brenda for your encouragement and all that you do at our Church. The testimonies are powerful and they are helping others to stop and look at their own lives. Is there a time in your life that you gave your heart to the Lord?  If you say yes, then share it will the Church. This will help others to trust the Lord and your faith will encourage others. We plan to have someone share their testimony in each service. We need to hear from young and old about what God has done and what God is doing.  Call me (706-491-4294) or email me (tgc@windstream.net) if there is a date that you want to do it. I look forward to Sundays just because of the testimonies.

Pastor's Weekly Message - 4/10/11

April 10, 2011

The Lord showed up Wednesday night! What a wonderful service we experienced. This was one of the services that you knew you were in the presence of the Lord. We don’t have them all the time, but Praise the Lord he does reveal Himself from time to time with us. I know that it was spring break for our kids and the attendance was not the best we have had, but God was there.  Andrew’s testimony was powerful in what the Lord has done for him. You talk about one that went along with the message, his did. We were sharing a message out of Genesis 28: 10-22 where Jacob, the grandson of Abraham, had a dream where he saw Heaven and the Lord. It was the first time that Jacob realized the Lord was there. He had seen the Lord. “He dreamed and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.” “And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place;” well the Lord was there Wednesday.
